Real feedback from travelers staying at our capsule hotels
The price is high — 4,600 for a day for a double capsule, when a regular room with its own bathroom costs 6,000 at the hotel next door. There's no toilet in the hotel; you'll have to use the airport's public toilet. The shower is shared, there's no cleanliness there, a rotten rag lies on the floor that serves as a foot towel. Half the doors in the capsules are broken, they open as noisily as possible, so be prepared for the fact that you won't really be able to sleep there, because people periodically check in and just walk around about their business. You can hear so well that you can hear someone yawning at the other end. There's no ventilation in the capsules whatsoever; many people even sleep with the curtain fully open because of it. We personally left a small gap, but that didn't help much. There are also no blankets — to cover yourself they'll offer you ordinary synthetic throws, which they hardly wash after every guest. Honestly, I even have doubts that the bedding is changed before every check-in, since I found a lot of foreign hairs and some dirt. Better to pay an extra 1.5k and spend it in comfort, especially if your goal is to get a good sleep before your flight.
The app says 250 rub/hour, but in reality it's 750. How can that be...
Disgusting staff! I booked a capsule for my dad, who had already been traveling for a full day without sleep. At the airport he couldn't figure out and find this capsule hotel on his own. I called the number given and asked the administrator to contact him so she could explain how to find them, since I didn't understand where he was. After 20 minutes of silence I called back and asked whether she'd managed to reach him. The answer I got was 'no, I forgot,' and she hung up. I'd hoped she would still contact him after my reminder. After 15 minutes I called again. The answer was 'I didn't call anyone,' and again she hung up. In short, you'll never find this place, and the staff's responsiveness is 0. And the manner of communication is as if I'd shown up at her home as an uninvited guest. The money was wasted. But that's not the main thing. Instead of resting, my dad got additional stress, running around the airport with heavy bags trying to find this cherished spot. In my opinion, even one star is too much for this kind of attitude. My personal wish for the administrator: may she meet just as 'responsive' people throughout her life as she is herself.
Minuses It's very hot in the capsules. Impossible to breathe. Very hard to sleep. There's practically no ventilation, it's hot even with the curtain open. There's no iron to press a shirt. Not even for money. There's no water cooler or just water. There's no coffee machine either. You're losing money. The toothbrush is very poor for 50 rubles. Definitely not worth it. Pluses Polite staff and the presence of a shower.
I was extremely disappointed that I decided to sleep before my flight at a hotel not in the city, but here. - after payment the young man just told me my capsule number and that was it, he didn't explain anything, didn't give keys (I don't know if there even are any); when I asked for a towel, he answered me 'oh, do you need it now?' - for a decent number of sleeping spots there's just one shower; - there's no boiling water — the young man offered the option of heating water in the microwave, but when I agreed, he sent me to run around the airport asking for boiling water at the shops (I needed to dissolve a tablet); - if there are a lot of people, it'll be noisy; - it's stuffy in the capsule; - there are no duvet covers, you can only cover yourself with a throw; - for my height of 166 the throw doesn't cover the area from neck to feet entirely. Among the pluses: - a comfortable capsule; - a decent shower.
If you have a high tolerance for other people's hairs on the sheet, for poorly washed or just ironed dirty bed linens, then this is the place for you. At night you'll be greeted by an administrator sleeping on the floor. It was my first time here and never a-gain!
Pluses: politeness, cleanliness, coziness and remoteness — you can't hear the airport noise, an acceptable price. Minuses: the individual ventilation system advertised on the website doesn't work. Heat and stuffiness; I only managed to sleep a little with the capsule open (there's an air conditioner running on the outside). There's no soundproofing — you can hear even a whisper, loud breathing, not to mention the snoring of neighbors, and all of the nearby ones at that, not just the one behind the wall. Unfortunately, even with the low price the hotel didn't justify itself, since I couldn't get any rest.
At half past eleven at night I had to get up and tell off the administrators who were chatting at the top of their voices. In a hotel meant for a few hours of sleep between flights, you'd want more place-appropriate behavior from the staff.
I had a 12-hour layover at the airport and booked a capsule for 7 hours to sleep. At first the impressions were decent, but overall I came away dissatisfied. Pluses: - Visually pleasant style - Low noise level (you can barely hear the announcements) - They gave me a towel Minuses: - No sort of map on the website on how to get there (though the administrator did help me out) - The toilet is outside the hostel - No shelf in the capsule - The ventilation doesn't work (there's a knob, but it had no effect on anything) - A broken capsule latch (it only had 3 positions — fully open, halfway, or fully closed — so when I was hot and stuffy, I'd wedge slippers in to keep the latch at least a little open, because sleeping with it halfway open isn't comfortable. The latches of the other capsules were normal and could be adjusted)
Impossible to stay in the capsule, there's no ventilation at all, you'd be better off sitting in a business lounge.
Pluses: the capsules are clean, the price and the location. Minuses: it's stuffy in the capsules, impossible to sleep. No soundproofing, you can hear the Aeroexpress announcements.
I paid 1,800 rubles for 4 hours and tried to fall asleep. In the capsule (a wooden box) it's very hot and stuffy, the ventilation can't cope at all (you won't realize it right away, only when you've lain there closed up for a while), there's no soundproofing — the Aeroexpress is right nearby with constant loud announcements. After an hour I came out and asked for a refund for the remaining hours or at least half — they refused. I filed a complaint and will wait for a response. I also noticed several hairs on the bedding, so I'm not sure it's changed after every guest. The light is bright, it only switches on and off, you can't dim it. Among the pluses (probably; I didn't use them myself) — the shower, the outlets.
